Ghislain Paré obtained his diploma as an aircraft maintenance         technician in 1985 at École Nationale d’Aérotechnique, located in the Montréal area. He was employed by various airlines, and spent several years as a mechanic working on ATR-42 and Dash-8 aircrafts. This work experience allowed him to earn his AME licenses, which are issued by the Department of Transport Canada.

Ghislain furthered his career at Pratt & Whitney Canada, where he acquired experience with turboprop engines. During his four years in the Experimental and Test Department, he participated in the development of the PW150A engine.

He then went on to work as an authorized technician for the PW100/PW150A lines at the PWC St-Hubert Service Center where, amongst other things, he was coordinator of the mobile repair team for several years. More recently, his responsibilities included maintenance management and technical support for a fleet of over 250 engines of the PT6, PW100 and PW150A series in the PWC Leasing Department.

Equipped with a 28 years professional career in aeronautics – 21 of them with Pratt & Whitney Canada – Ghislain founded Aéro Turbines Solutions and now offers his consulting services.
